Golf List: Rory likes Adele, Tiger Beats Jack's Record, Hot in the Congo, Miss Michelle, The Asian Rory, and more
Tiger not only wins his third event in 2012, but eclipses Jack’s career wins (73). Who cares about the world golf rankings which have Westwood and Donald ahead of Woods. Who in their right mind would pick Lee and Luke over Tiger Woods in a friendly $5 nassau?
Humming is good for your golf game. According to Men’s Health magazine Rory McIlory hummed Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” while playing his way to a U.S. Open win at Congressional.
Congressional redeems itself. Congo has shown that it can host a major again. The AT&T National was green, the rough was deep, and the greens fast. Factor in the 100º temperature and only the fittest could survive. Not so sure that if Rory was playing at Congo this year that he’d beat Tiger.
Michelle Wie misses another cut that 6 misses out of 10 tournaments this year. We predict two rounds in the 80’s at this weeks U.S. Women’s Open, and another missed cut. It is time to clean house and fire everybody Michelle, before it is too late.
Fox Chapel CC should be in the top 50 golf courses. Did you see how awesome Fox Chapel looked on TV? Seth Raynor, the golf course architect, deserves a spotlight for his use of puchbowl and biarritz green templates.
Bo Van Pelt, not only has a cool name, but he is a great ball striker and stood toe-to-toe with Tiger down the stretch. He was one chip away from winning. Bo knows he win soon, and just maybe a major.
A rookie is leading the PGA Tour in total birdies. Seung-Yul Noh has a crazy good golf swing. This swing will get you noticed on the driving range. Check it out for yourself.
