Miura - The Samurai Sword of Golf

Miura Golf Clubs

The Samurai of Ancient Japan were entrusted with the lives the most influential and important people of the land. A Samurai would give his life (or take his own) should he fail in defense of his master. A Samurai wielded one of history’s most infamous weapons, the samurai sword. The creation of a Samurai sword was considered a sacred quest taking weeks or even months to forge and grind the blade to perfection.

In present day Japan, a master craftsman is on a quest of his own. Katsuhiro Miura is on a quest to craft the perfect golf club.

Located in Himeji City, Japan, the home of master sword craftsmen of the past, Katsuhiro Miura, alongside his 2 sons, works daily grinding and forging the world’s finest golf clubs.

Miura has been making golf clubs since 1957. Katsuhiro Miura and his small team meticulously inspect and perfect every club by hand. Miura is so well respected that the Japanese media claims Karsuhiro has the “Hands of God”.

Hold a Miura clubhead in your hand or swing a Miura iron and you will agree, Miuras are indeed the samurai sword of the golf world.
